We are proud to celebrate the achievements of Sofia, who has been an active and inspiring member of the Teens in AI since 2022, joining at just 11 years old.

Over the past two years, Sofia has participated in multiple international hackathons and the flagship AI4Good Summer Incubator, where she developed her knowledge of artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship while working on projects tackling climate change and sustainability challenges. Her curiosity, creativity and leadership have been evident throughout.

Following the Incubator, Sofia launched her own, ‘Mathletico App’, designed to make Mathematics engaging and accessible for young people.

Sofia has also completed advanced Teens in AI courses, including Signal Processing and Image Processing. Despite the challenging content for her age group, she showed remarkable perseverance and determination to succeed.

Her leadership within the community continues to grow. She has designed global challenges to inspire other teens, including:

  • The 10-Day Python Challenge, which attracted nearly 20,000 views and will run again due to its success.
  • The Figma Challenge, launching this October to encourage teens to learn digital design skills.

Beyond Teens in AI, Sofia’s achievements have been recognised nationally. She was recently invited to the Oxford University Computational Challenge (OUCC) prize ceremony after achieving a national ranking.

Through all of this, as Founder and CEO of Teens in AI says, ‘Sofia has proven herself to be a role model for girls in STEM, combining talent with courage to take on ambitious challenges and the generosity to inspire her peers.’

Congratulations to Sofia for all her achievements. Everyone at Wycombe Abbey is extremely proud of you!
