Wycombe Abbey helps to fund new orangery at South Bucks Hospice

Wycombe Abbey was delighted to reach its charitable commitment to help fund a new orangery at South Bucks Hospice by raising a total of £61,000.00.

The School began supporting the Hospice in September 2013 with the goal of financing a new orangery named the Abbey Orangery which will allow patients to enjoy the garden and receive extra respite care.

Over the past three years, pupils, staff and parents at Wycombe Abbey have given to the charity through bucket collections at events, Young Enterprise competitions, sponsored walks, auctions and ticketed musical events.

The final cheque of £4,443.25 was presented to South Bucks Hospice CEO Jo Woolf in a special school assembly on Friday 27 January 2017. She said, ‘We are extremely grateful to the families of Wycombe Abbey for raising such a huge amount towards the orangery at our new hospice.  I know this area will bring immense pleasure to our patients and it is inspiring to see our community working together for such a great cause.’
