Service of Licensing for Padre Paul

As term started, pupils and staff gathered together in the School Chapel for the Service of Licensing of our new Chaplain, Padre Paul Stanaway. Paul joins us from New Zealand where he served as an Army Chaplain for 12 years. He previously served for five years in the British Army as a soldier and combat medic.

The service included much-loved hymns and a wonderful sermon given by The Revd Canon Chris Bull (Associate Archdeacon, Buckingham) who also conducted the service. The Revd Charlie Kerr (Chaplaincy Advisor to The Diocese of Oxford) was in attendance.

The Chaplain plays a central role in life at Wycombe Abbey overseeing the spiritual life of the School, leading charity work and offering additional pastoral support to all pupils and staff.

We warmly welcome Padre Paul to Wycombe Abbey and wish him all the best in his new role!
