Lacrosse and Cricket Success

Over Easter, the Lacrosse Home Internationals took place at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Complex. The following Wycombe Abbey girls represented their countries in the Junior tournaments: Mia and Lexi (England); Emily, Caroline, Phoebe and Lydia (Scotland); Carlotta (Germany). Former pupil, Tilly Foster, played for England in one of the Senior tournaments.

Following the Home Internationals, both Emily and Carlotta have been selected to represent their countries at the U19 Lacrosse World Championship. This will be held at the start of August in Canada. Alongside the World Championship, a Lacrosse Festival will be held, at which Mia, Jasmine and Lexi will represent the England U19B team.

Senior Tilly Foster has also achieved further success following the Home Internationals. She has been selected to play in the European Lacrosse Championship which will take place in Israel mid-July.

In addition to her lacrosse success over Easter, Mia has been named in the squad for the Berkshire Women’s first cricket team, being the youngest member of the squad. She has been selected as a wicket keeper in the T20 format and will be playing with Heather Knight, England captain, and Anya Shrubsole, England opening bowler.
