Wycombe Abbey Recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School for 2026-2027

Wycombe Abbey is proud to have been recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School for 2026-2027, joining a global community of schools that are leading innovation in education.

This recognition reflects the School’s commitment to empowering both educators and pupils with the skills, tools, and experiences needed to thrive in an AI-powered world. Wycombe Abbey now has 34 Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts among its teaching staff, a record number for the School.

As a Microsoft Showcase School, Wycombe Abbey is part of an international network of forward-thinking schools recognised for their innovation, vision, and excellence in digital learning. The designation also provides valuable opportunities for collaboration and professional growth, enabling staff to share expertise and best practice with educators across the world.

Technology is firmly embedded within teaching and learning at Wycombe Abbey through the School’s well-established one-to-one device scheme, which ensures every pupil has access to a Windows-based machine. This provision supports collaboration, creativity, and enriched learning experiences across the curriculum and is underpinned by the School’s robust digital strategy. As part of this approach, Wycombe Abbey introduced its AI Traffic Light System to support the responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence, alongside the rollout of Microsoft Copilot to all staff in September 2024 and to pupils in UIV and above in September 2025. The School has also launched its Future Ready Digital Skills Programme, designed to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Professional development has played a central role in this achievement, with colleagues from a range of departments gaining recognition as Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts. Together, these initiatives demonstrate Wycombe Abbey’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in education, preparing pupils for success in the future.
