Wycombe Abbey Senior Takes on the London Marathon

Here at Wycombe Abbey, we love hearing from our Seniors and celebrating their achievements. We’re delighted to share that Wycombe Abbey Senior Charlotte (2021, Barry) successfully completed the London Marathon this past weekend, a remarkable accomplishment demonstrating both resilience and determination.

Charlotte shared her experience with us:

‘I am the President of Athletics and Cross Country at Durham University and received a championship place at the London Marathon this year. The first 10k went perfectly according to plan but then I unfortunately fell over a water bottle shortly after i crossed a water station, which left me pretty bruised for the next 20 miles! However I somehow made it through, helped along by my friends and family, with a special mention to my sister Darcy, who’s a current pupil at Wycombe Abbey, who cheered me on multiple times throughout the race.’

Congratulations Charlotte, we can’t wait to see what you go on to achieve next!
