Wycombe Abbey Congratulates GCSE Pupils

Wycombe Abbey girls received their GCSE results today after an intense focus on this year’s exam grading system over the past week and the government U-turn on the awarding of A level results.

The girls’ GCSE results, based on centre assessed grades (CAGs), reflects their hard work and are in keeping with the School’s tradition of academic excellence. An impressive 90.32% of examinations were awarded an A* grade (8/9),  98.7% of grades were A*- A (7/8/9) and 100% of grades were A*-B.

Headmistress, Mrs Jo Duncan, said “I am so pleased for our girls who have achieved these outstanding results after such a difficult few months. I know that it was a source of great disappointment that they were unable to sit their examinations in the usual way. Nonetheless, they should feel very proud of their achievements which are a fair reflection of their hard work over the past two years. I congratulate every one of them.”

The School is now looking forward to welcoming the full School back at the start of the Autumn Term.
