Welcome to All New Staff at Wycombe Abbey

The start of a new academic year is always a busy time, and it is particularly so for our new staff whom we welcome to Wycombe Abbey.
This year we have a number of key staff joining the School.
- James Kelly rejoins us as Head of Science, working closely with our Heads of Biology, Chemistry and Physics to further strengthen and develop our Science provision.
- We are delighted to welcome Lucy Prime as Head of Art, who joins us from Dr Challoner’s Grammar School.
- We look forward to welcoming Scott Bryan in October as Managing Director, International, where he will focus on the continued growth and development of our international partnerships and initiatives.
- James Bell joins us as Clerk to Council, working closely with the Bursar and Council to support effective governance and the smooth operation of Council business.
Welcome also to all the other new teaching and support staff who have joined departments across the School.
We also have a number of internal moves and promotions:
- Gareth Cadman takes on the role of Head of Modern Languages, where he will work closely with the Heads of French, Spanish, German and Chinese to lead and develop our language provision.
- Avani Hurribunce assumes the additional responsibility of Head of Global Links and will work closely with Scott Bryan and Nick Woods to strengthen our international partnerships, as well as our pupil and staff exchange programmes.
- Margot Wood takes up the role of Head of Geography.
- Nina Pritsou and Charlie Pemberton move into the roles of Deputy Head of Upper School (fixed term), supporting Luke Wildgoose in providing both academic and pastoral leadership for Upper School pupils.
- Alex Hedley takes up the role of Assistant Director of Sport (Curriculum), while Ricki Stevens assumes the position of Assistant Director of Sport (Fixtures), covering the maternity leave of Rebecca Millard and Ruby Smith.
I’m sure you will join me in welcoming all our new staff and congratulating our current staff on their new appointments. We look forward to working together over the coming years.
