New Wycombe Abbey

The start of a new academic year is always a busy time, and it is particularly so for our new staff whom we welcome to Wycombe Abbey.

This year we have a number of key staff joining the School.

  • Claire Leong joins us as Director of Global Links to develop our global programme and explore global collaborations from which both pupils and staff can benefit.
  • We are excited to welcome Laura Manning as Head of Careers to expand and build upon our existing Careers service.
  • Susannah Davis joins as our new Archivist to develop and preserve our current archive.
  • We welcome two new Housemistresses to our Pastoral team – Victoria Biddle as Housemistress of Pitt and Kathryn Millar as Housemistress of Butler.

Meet Our New Housemistresses

Welcome also to all the other new teaching and support staff who have joined departments across the School. 

We also have some internal moves and promotions:

  • Nick Woods steps into the role of Deputy Head (Strategy and International), continuing to play a key role in the Executive Leadership Team.
  • James Young has been promoted to Director of Teaching and Learning where he will work closely with Emily Boswell (Deputy Head, Academic) to further develop our outstanding classroom practice.
  • Fiona Gee takes up the role of Director of School Operations and will be a member of the Wider School Leadership Team.
  • Lucy Akers takes up the role of Head of Boarding in addition to her role as Housemistress of Cloister.
  • After 5 years leading Junior House, Lucy Crampton will move to be Head of Design Technology.
  • Lauren Monteil moves from Housemistress of Butler to replace Lucy Crampton as Housemistress of Junior House.
  • Antonia McNeill takes up the role of Head of Chemistry.
  • Tim Davies moves into the role of Deputy Head of Lower School, providing additional support to our Lower School girls.

I’m sure you will join me in welcoming all our new staff and congratulating our current staff on their new appointments. We look forward to working together over the coming years.
