UIII Take on the Treetops at Go Ape

Pupils in their harnesses about to start the high ropes course.

A few weeks ago, UIII pupils travelled to Wendover Woods for an action-packed trip to the Go Ape high ropes course.

The group set off after morning lessons, with excitement running high from the start. Zoe (UIII) captured the mood of the day:

‘The coaches were buzzing with excitement on the way. When we got to the woods, we made our way to the picnic camp, where we enjoyed a delicious meal consisting of sandwiches, sausage rolls and brownies. Once we had eaten our lunch, we set off to our Go Ape sessions. Everyone was very excited, including Mrs Duncan, who many of us saw while on the ropes.’

Six Wycombe Abbey pupils sat on a blue. red and navy picnic blanket.

The afternoon was spent tackling the Treetop Challenge twice before finishing with a thrilling zipline back down to the ground. The return journey was much quieter than the outward trip, with pupils happily worn out after their efforts.

As Zoe reflected: ‘The coach drive back was certainly a different one to the way there, as everyone was considerably tired after the awesome activities that we had completed. Everyone had loads of fun and we are all looking forward to the next trip!’
