Puppetry Workshop

During the Puppetry Workshop we were introduced to the idea of getting into the ‘mind-set’ of the puppets.

We learnt different techniques on how to convince the audience the puppet was alive. Using sound, movement and teamwork we eventually managed to achieve this and made the puppet ‘come to life’ for our audience.

We learnt that it is very important for the puppet to become aware of its environment and surroundings and we found that being a puppeteer was more tiring than we thought!

After discussing each other’s work we discovered new ways to approach the challenge and took into consideration the emotions we should try to convey. We all learnt a lot of valuable skills and really enjoyed bringing the puppets to life.
