Parenting the Teenager – ‘Raising Happy Teens’

Parents of pupils at Wycombe Abbey enjoyed an entertaining and thought-provoking talk by Jackie Cox on Saturday morning as part of the School’s ‘Parenting the Teenager’ programme.

Jackie’s wealth of experience as a psychologist and a counsellor afforded parents an insight into what is happening in the brains of teenagers as they progress through adolescence.

Advice ranged from dealing with mobile phones and digital devices to considering how to supportively and productively engage teenagers in conversation about common tricky issues.

With a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge into the what, why and how of teenage development, everyone left feeling empowered, full of understanding and thoroughly entertained.
