Carrington Series: Insights from Francesca Lee and Jessica Haworth
26 November 2025 - All

Every Friday, our pupils have the opportunity to attend a talk from a guest speaker as part of the Carrington Series. These sessions offer invaluable insights into diverse careers, current topics and essential skills that prepare them for life beyond school.
Recently, we were joined by two incredible women who shared their expertise and experiences from their respective industries.
On 7 November, we welcomed Francesca Lee, CEO and Founder of Social Value Architect, an organisation dedicated to improving corporate sustainability. Francesca, who also serves as a board member of the Sophie Hayes Foundation, a charity fighting modern slavery, spoke passionately about this challenging issue and what we, as consumers, can do to make a difference. Having a long-time supporter of the Management Conference, it was a pleasure to welcome Francesca back. Her insights and messages really resonated with our pupils.

The following week, Wycombe Abbey Senior Jessica Haworth (2003), founder of Breakthe4thwall, returned to School to speak to UVI about the importance of first impressions and how to present themselves with confidence and purpose during interviews. Using unique techniques designed to push pupils out of their comfort zones, Jessica delivered practical advice, particularly on what not to do in an interview! It was especially meaningful to welcome her back to the Performing Arts Centre, where she had acted many times as a pupil.
A huge thank you to both of our wonderful guests for sharing their expertise and inspiring our pupils.
Mr Oliver Murphy
