Cadbury World Trip

The UIII and LIV attended a trip to Cadbury’s World in Birmingham. Pupils toured around the factory, learning the history of how George Cadbury opened his shop and grew it into the conglomerate brand that it is recognised as today. Pupils learned how workers were treated by their employers in the 1820’s, and how Cadbury’s contributed towards a better working environment by building Bourneville village, a housing district for their employees. Girls saw the change over time of the appearance of packaging and branding, and learned about Cadbury’s efforts during war time. The tour was followed by a 4D cartoon viewing, a seasonal Santa show and, of course, a trip to the Cadbury’s shop! The girls enjoyed receiving a range of treats throughout the day whilst viewing the behind-the-scenes experience of Cadbury’s World.
