Carrington Speaker Series: Communications and Networking
23 October 2026 - Sixth Form
On Friday 2 October, we were delighted to welcome TV presenter and journalist, Sean Fletcher, to come and speak about his career in the media. This term’s themes for the LVI and UVI are Communication and Networking, and therefore Sean was perfectly placed to give his lessons on how to make good connections. He took us through anecdotes from his time working for Sky News and Good Morning Britain, and it was particularly refreshing to hear how he bounced back from professional setbacks. His lessons on putting oneself out there and not fearing failure really resonated with our pupils, and we were delighted with the time Sean spent at the end talking one-to-one with pupils.
