UIII Perform Grimm Reader

The recent UIII Play, Grimm Reader, was a remarkable achievement, bringing together every pupil in the year group, numbering well over 80. With only two days to rehearse as a full company, the pupils rose to the challenge with impressive professionalism, focus and determination. Their commitment throughout was evident in the assured and engaging performance they delivered.

The production presented a thoughtfully constructed story within a story. It followed a young boy who delighted in books, in contrast to his less enthusiastic sister. Within his latest tale, the audience met Jack, a boy captivated by fairy tales who longed to step into them. Together, the characters embarked on a quest to save Jack’s cherished stories from the grasp of the villains Grovegrind and Gorgon.

The Drama Department warmly commended UIII for their outstanding efforts. Congratulations to Mr Harrington, Director of Drama, who wrote and directed the play and thanks to the dedicated team of staff whose support ensured its success.
