UIII Residential Trip to South Wales

Girls stood together in front of a climbing wall.

Last week, UIII wrapped up their time in Junior House with an exciting residential trip to South Wales. It was a fantastic opportunity for the year group to strengthen their bond and enjoy some quality time together before moving on to their Senior Houses. Read on for Harriet’s account of this action-packed and unforgettable trip!

Last Monday morning, UIII set off on our end of year residential trip. Our first stop was St Fagans National Museum of History, located near Cardiff, Wales. It is a main open-air museum featuring more than 40 historic buildings from various parts of Wales. After walking around for a bit, looking at the historic village and buildings, we had a stop at the traditional sweet shop that we had all been looking forward to!

After lunch, we hopped back on the coach to our final destination, Rock UK Summit Centre, located near Trelewis in South Wales. When we arrived, we started with a talk about our School values and how important they are, and how we use them in daily life. We then split into our teams to do some team-building activities. The next day was jam-packed with fun and activities. From caving to canoeing, everybody had so much fun, and I think some of the activities definitely pushed us out of our comfort zones! In the evening, we had some time just to hang out in our dorms and play games. We had a great time, but it’s safe to say that by the end of the trip, we were absolutely exhausted!
