Upper Fourth House Dance Competition

The Dance Captains and I had the pleasure of hosting this year’s House Dance Competition, a vibrant night where the entire School came together to cheer on their houses and friends. The energy was electric, with enthusiastic chants that filled the room as each house brought a spirit of friendly competition. This supportive atmosphere allowed every dancer to truly shine, showcasing their hard work and creativity.
The performances displayed a stunning variety of choreography, reflecting the dedication the girls put into their rehearsals. Judging was no easy task, as each group offered something unique. In the end, Wendover was crowned the House Dance winner! Their piece from the hit musical Annie stood out for its polished choreography, clever use of props and levels, and high energy. Their commitment was evident, with some dancers even rehearsing before school—a House Dance first!
This event was a success thanks to the incredible support of Miss Ketley, whose hard work behind the scenes made the evening run smoothly. Special thanks also go to Miss Lavender and Miss White, who embraced the challenging role of judges, and to Mr Grace, whose skill with lighting and sound enhanced each performance. Finally, a huge thank you to all the UIV girls for their enthusiasm and creativity—it’s clear that dance at Wycombe Abbey has an exciting future ahead!
