London Drinks Reception for Wycombe Abbey Seniors

We were delighted to welcome Seniors to a London Drinks reception on Thursday, 19 September, in Covent Garden. It was a chance for Seniors from all walks of life to come together and enjoy an informal evening of drinks and delicious food, sharing memories of their time at Wycombe Abbey and chatting about their lives now. Some of our most recent seniors from the Class of 2024 joined us, and three Honorary Seniors who are well-known amongst the School community, Mrs Sue Jenkins, Mrs Liz Peers, and Mrs Violaine Ludwick.

Three ladies stood conversing, drinking champagne and smiling.

We were delighted to be joined by staff from the School, including Jo Duncan, Headmistress, Emily Boswell, Deputy Head of Academic and Jacky Tidbury, Director of Sixth Form, who offered an insight into Wycombe Abbey life today and plan for the future. Our thanks also to members of the Seniors’ Consultative Committee who attended.

Events like this are a fantastic way to connect with the Seniors community, and we look forward to doing more in the future as we build our Seniors programme. As one Senior shared, ‘Many thanks for another hugely successful Seniors event in London. The ringing in my ears today is a testament to the energy in the room and a very good time had by all! I’m looking forward to the next one already!’

Our next event is the Seniors Carol Service on Sunday 8 December.
