Wing Lam Wins Prestigious Prince Philip Scholarship

Wycombe Abbey Pupil wins Prestigious Prince Philip Scholarship

We are delighted Wing Lam (UVI) has been awarded the prestigious Prince Philip Scholarship offered by the Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong.

This scholarship is highly competitive (typically fewer than ten awards are made each year) and Wing Lam joins a small and select group of Wycombe Abbey pupils who have won the award since its inception in 1982. Besides being a University of Cambridge offer-holder to read Mathematics at Queens’ College, the award is made solely on academic merit; candidates are expected to demonstrate strong academic ability and is awarded to those who will flourish in the University of Cambridge learning environment.

Wing Lam’s mathematical achievements are exceptional against any measure and we are thrilled that the Prince Philip Scholarship selection board has recognised this. Mr Vaccaro, Director of Learning and Innovation, said ‘Congratulations to Wing Lam. This scholarship is a testament to her hard work and her commitment to Mathematics over her years at Wycombe Abbey.’
