Wycombe Abbey Model United Nations 2026
28 January 2026 - All

Wycombe Abbey proudly hosted its annual Model United Nations conference last week, welcoming 250 delegates from 15 schools, including an international delegation. The event brought together enthusiastic and well‑prepared pupils who engaged in thoughtful debate across a range of global issues.
Committees tackled topics including The Question of Civilian Rights in Occupied Territories and The Question of Protecting Healthcare in Areas of Conflict, encouraging delegates to think critically, collaborate effectively and present informed, persuasive solutions. The quality of debate throughout reflected the dedication and global awareness of all involved.

A particular highlight beyond the committee rooms was the lively Highland Ball, where delegates enjoyed two hours of energetic ceilidh dancing accompanied by a live band. A joyful way to celebrate new friendships and the spirit of international cooperation!
We were also delighted to host WYCOMAC, a simulation of the Arctic Council, offering delegates a unique forum to explore geopolitical and environmental challenges in the far north. In addition, the conference benefited greatly from the expertise of MUNiverse, whose support enhanced the experience for both new and seasoned participants.
Overall, the conference was a resounding success, combining rigorous debate, cultural exchange and memorable moments that showcased the very best of pupil leadership and diplomacy.
