Spring Term Sunday Funday

As the Spring Term drew to a close, we celebrated the last weekend of term with a Sunday Funday! There were 11 different activities on offer, ranging from calming board games and vision board making, to exciting zorbing and swimming sessions!

Three different escape rooms challenged the girls with a series of puzzles, as they attempted to escape from an art heist, a bank robbery, or a zombie testing lab, complete with edible ‘chemicals.’ The UIII proved particularly successful, requiring very few hints along the way.

Cookery remained as popular as ever, with hundreds of carrot cakes baked throughout the day. UV and LVI pupils also had the opportunity to learn how to make mocktails, enjoying the process of experimenting with different flavour combinations.

Pilates and board games offered a space for the girls to relax. After exploring new ways of moving their bodies, pupils enjoyed immersing themselves in imaginative dream worlds. The planetarium experience was equally calming, as the girls embarked on a journey through the universe, learning about the lifecycle of stars.

Pupils embraced their creativity in the vision board and T-shirt printing sessions, selecting unique designs and colours to personalise their shirts. They also brought their ideas to life using an array of stickers, paints, and craft materials, transforming their visions into tangible works of art.

In terms of the more active offerings, the exhilarating joy of zorbing was enjoyed by every year across the School, come rain or shine. Front and back flips were being attempted left, right and centre: some more successful than others! During the fun swim, energy was released by splashing about with pool noodles and scoring goals in nets, a change from normal swimming lessons. The girls also had self-defence lessons from experts, a session the girls particularly loved!

The weekend provided the perfect balance of relaxation and action for everyone, the best way to enjoy the final weekend of a very busy Spring Term. Don’t just take my word for it, read what our UIII pupils had to say below!

On Sunday, we were kept busy with so many fun activities all on the School grounds! I had a lovely time with my friends, and I cannot wait to do it all again! – Josie

The weekend was so much more fun compared to home! – Jessie

It was great to stay in with everyone in UIII and spend time together outside of lesson time. We had a chance to meet the LIV in our senior houses during the Lower School quiz and we enjoyed watching a movie in House. – Sienna K
