Pippa’s Sailing Success

We are delighted to congratulate Pippa (LV) on her outstanding achievements at the 2025 World Optimist Sailing Championships. Pippa was one of five young sailors selected to represent Great Britain at this highly competitive event, which welcomed teams from over 50 countries, each fielding five entries.
The GBR team secured an impressive 5th place overall, marking the nation’s best result in recent memory. Individually, Pippa excelled as the 18th-ranked girl globally and was the top-performing girl in the silver fleet. This remarkable accomplishment reflects her dedication, skill, and perseverance in the sport of sailing.
Having reached these heights in the Optimist class, Pippa will now transition to the 420 class, a larger and more challenging boat. This move signifies the next step in her sailing career, where she will compete alongside her peers in an even more competitive field. Pippa joins fellow pupil India (LVI) in this category, where both will be working to establish themselves and build their standings.
