New Headmistress for Wycombe Abbey

Jo Duncan, currently Headmistress of the Royal High School in Bath, will join Wycombe Abbey as the new Headmistress from 1 September 2019.

Before taking up her current Headship at Royal High School Bath in 2015, Mrs Duncan was Head of Princess Helena College in Hertfordshire for seven years.  Previous to that role she taught at Benenden School for seven years when she was variously an academic tutor, a Deputy Housemistress and Head of Department. Mrs Duncan, who has an MA in English Literature and Biblical Studies from the University of St Andrews and did her PGCE at Cambridge,  began her career at the Latymer School in North London where she taught for four years.

Chairman of Council, Patrick Sherrington said: “We are delighted that Jo Duncan will be the next Headmistress of Wycombe Abbey. Jo is the right person to build on Rhiannon Wilkinson’s achievements and take the School to the next level in the challenging and changing market we will face in the years ahead.”
