Meet Our New Head of School, Todi
16 May 2025 - All

When I first joined in UIII, I was quite shy, but watching the older girls present in School Meeting truly inspired me. Their confidence encouraged me to step out of my shell and sparked my interest in public speaking. As I developed my skills, my confidence grew and I began to enjoy being a voice for my peers.
I was drawn to the role because I value the opportunity to act as a bridge between pupils and staff. I want to be someone others feel they can trust and I hope to help ensure that everyone makes the most of their time at Wycombe Abbey.
Finding out I was Head of School was a surreal moment. I remember everyone standing for the announcement and hearing my name called out last. At first, I couldn’t believe it, it didn’t even register that it was my name, so I just kept clapping and smiling. It wasn’t until my friends started shaking me and hugging me that it truly sank in. Genevieve, one of the Deputy Head Girls, tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me we had to go up to the front, which quickly brought me back to reality.
So far, I’ve really enjoyed the role. Of course, there have been the more visible highlights, like standing at the front of Chapel and saying, ‘May the School please stand.’ It’s such a powerful and cherished part of Chapel tradition. I’ve also really appreciated working closely with Genevieve and Estelle as we define our core aims as a Head Girl Team, it’s been wonderful to get to know them better. A particular highlight was having dinner with the previous Head Girl Team, Frances, Lara, and Izzy, alongside Mrs Duncan and Mrs Tidbury. It was a lovely evening and I enjoyed hearing their advice.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with the Deputy Head Girls, they’re such amazing girls and I know we’ll continue to make a great team. I can’t wait to work with the prefect team, staff and pupil body to implement our goals, including the integration of all members of the Wycombe Abbey community. We want to promote even more kindness and fun!
Outside of my role as Head of School, I’ve been enjoying podcasts a lot recently. Now, whenever I learn something new, I’ll do a quick google to find an interesting podcast about that subject.
I’ve also been loving the New York Times puzzle games. Each morning, I make time for the Wordle, Weaver, the Crossword, and a few others. It puts me in a good mood for the day ahead.
After Wycombe Abbey, I hope to go to university to study either PPE or Global Politics. After that, I’m considering a career in either Law or Finance, both fields really interest me, and I’m still exploring which path to pursue. I’m also deciding whether to study in the UK or the USA, as both offer exciting opportunities.
