In a stunning performance at the prestigious Osberton International Horse Trials, LVI pupil Mara (Airlie) claimed the title of British National Pony Champion in the CCIP2* International event. Partnered with her exceptional horse, Diarista, Mara delivered an impressive all-around display across the competition’s three phases.

Mara and Diarista began the event with an outstanding dressage score of 28.8, setting a strong foundation for their championship run. Their consistent form continued into the cross-country phase, where they added just 0.8 time penalties to their score. This minor addition left them in contention for the top spot going into the showjumping round.

In the final phase, Mara and Diarista produced one of only three clear showjumping rounds, securing their position at the top of the leaderboard. Their flawless performance in this crucial stage propelled them into the lead and earned Mara the coveted title of British National Pony Champion.

Mara’s victory at Osberton is a remarkable achievement, that not only reflects Mara’s hard work, but also adds an impressive accolade to Mara’s equestrian career.

The Osberton International Horse Trials, known for attracting top competitors from across the country, provided the perfect stage for Mara’s talent to shine. Her success in the CCIP2* International has firmly established her as a rising star in the sport.
