LVI Biology Trip to the Natural History Museum at Tring
20 May 2026 - Academic

LVI pupils had a fantastic time on their Biology trip to the Natural History Museum in Tring. The visit was a brilliant opportunity to explore an incredible range of organisms while bringing their studies of biodiversity and conservation to life. Pupils engaged thoughtfully with the impact of human activity on wildlife, considering both the challenges species face and the ways in which we can help protect and support them in an ever-changing world.
A real highlight of the day was the interactive workshop, where pupils were excited to get hands-on with a variety of fascinating specimens, including pangolin scales, sparking curiosity and discussion throughout. After the session, pupils thoroughly enjoyed exploring the museum’s remarkable collection of over 4,000 specimens, with the giant sloth skeleton proving especially popular!
It was a hugely enjoyable and inspiring experience, giving pupils the chance to extend their learning beyond the classroom and deepen their appreciation of the natural world.
