Goodnight Mister Tom
20 May 2024 - All

On Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May, pupils performed in the Fourth Form Play, Goodnight Mister Tom. We rehearsed from the start of the Spring Term and it was incredibly exciting to take part.
Being part of the production was a very enjoyable experience; from getting together after school to learn our lines, acting with a real dog on stage and being amazed by the wonderful technical aspects that brought the show together, the whole process was full of wonder and excitement.

Goodnight Mister Tom is a very touching and emotional play, and the audience was left with tears in their eyes as they learnt about the heartbreaking story of a young boy called William and his traumatic past. It was an extraordinary, memorable performance and my involvement in the play has pushed me to achieve more than I could ever have imagined, with the incredible support from all the teachers in the Drama Department. It was my first time being part of such a large production but it will certainly not be my last. I am already eagerly anticipating the next opportunity to step onto the stage and look forward to participating in many of the future performances during my time at Wycombe Abbey!
