GCSE Results 2016/17

Wycombe Abbey is celebrating another outstanding set of GCSE results today. 97.1% of all entries were A*-A with an impressive 82.4% at A* grade.

We are extremely proud of the UV girls and the results reflect their hard work, application and enthusiasm for all their subjects. 69% of the year group achieved nine or more A* grades.

Headmistress Rhiannon Wilkinson said: “We are delighted with these results and I congratulate the girls and staff on their success. I am enormously grateful to every member of the School’s community for supporting last year’s UV with such expertise, dedication and care. I know the girls will join me in thanking their teachers, and parents, for their commitment and encouragement.

The girls are so much more than the sum of these marvellous results: they make the most of the wide range of opportunities that a full boarding environment offers and perform to the highest levels in an exceptionally wide range of activities such as drama, music, sport, art and in STEM projects. The breadth of these experiences ensure our girls are well equipped with the resilience and creativity needed to thrive.

As the girls now move into our Sixth Form at Wycombe Abbey, we are confident that they are very well placed to excel at A level and we look forward to celebrating their success as they continue their academic studies.”
