Exploring sustainability

On Wednesday 27 September, Skye, Davin, Lauren, and Lily attended the Royal Society’s sustainability showcase in London. The girls were invited to this event to present their project after winning the Go4SET Engineering competition. After thoroughly researching the station in High Wycombe, they investigated how they would improve energy efficiency and increase business using novel methods. They presented their project ‘Smarter Stations’ and really impressed other attendees with their innovative ideas and ability to critically discuss their research with scientists. The day was concluded with an exciting talk from NASA engineer and inventor Lonnie Johnson and we were lucky enough to meet him when he came to see the project.

Following the UK Government’s announcement on Monday 4 January, the School site is now closed to visitors, and pupils are being taught remotely. Please do get in touch with us by phone or email via the link here.
