Celebrating the Wycombe Abbey Seniors Community
23 April 2026 - Seniors

At Wycombe Abbey, the relationships we build with our pupils do not end when they leave School. Our Seniors continue to inspire us with their achievements, and we remain committed to supporting and celebrating them as they take their next steps into life beyond School.
Ava’s Visit to Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong.
During her travels over the Easter break, recent leaver Ava (2025) visited Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong, reconnecting with the School in a very special way.

Ava was warmly welcomed by Headmaster, Mr Fox, who provided a full tour of the site. Although pupils were not in School due to the holidays, Ava greatly enjoyed exploring the facilities and learning more about the innovative building.
Reflecting on her visit, Ava shared her appreciation for the opportunity: ‘It’s an incredible school. I learnt so much, and I’m so glad the pupils here have the chance to embrace their education to the full, just as I did.’
She also thanked Mr Woods, Deputy Head (Strategy and Operations), for arranging the visit, noting how meaningful it was to remain connected to Wycombe Abbey while travelling independently: ‘Visiting the school and engaging with Wycombe internationally is one of the many reasons I am very proud to call myself a Wycombe girl.’
Carys: A Cambridge Sporting Star
Carys Ward (2022) continues to excel at the University of Cambridge, where she has achieved the rare distinction of earning three Cambridge Blues, in netball, lacrosse and javelin.

A talented all‑rounder, Carys has proven that academic rigour and sporting excellence can thrive side by side. Highlights of her achievements include:
- Representing Wales at the Under‑20s Lacrosse World Cup in Hong Kong
- Selection for the Wales Senior Lacrosse Team, touring the east coast of the USA
- Competing in javelin for the renowned Achilles Club, representing Oxford and Cambridge in the United States
Carys credits her time at Wycombe Abbey for fostering her passion for sport: ‘I was lucky to go to a school that offered pretty much any sport you could want. I tried my hardest to do all of them.’
Her ability to balance demanding academics with high‑level sport has shaped her approach to university life: ‘Being busy makes me more efficient. I make sure I get all my work done so I can make training sessions, it’s something I always look forward to.’
Congratulations Carys!
Seniors Reunion in Scotland
Just before Easter, Wycombe Abbey Seniors studying at universities in Scotland, received a special visit from members of the School’s Senior Leadership Team.

Mrs Jo Duncan, Headmistress, together with Miss Emily Boswell, Deputy Head (Academic), and Mrs Jacky Tidbury, Director of Sixth Form, caught up with recent School leavers at the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh, to talk about their experience of university life and what they’ve been involved in since leaving Wycombe Abbey.
It was a lovely opportunity to reconnect and hear how well they are getting on across a range of degree courses, whether studying science-based subjects, the social sciences or the humanities, and we look forward to visiting more universities soon.
Keep up to date with further news from Wycombe Abbey on our social channels.
