Celebrating International Women’s Day at TSB

Wycombe Pupils at TSB on International Womens Day

As part of our International Women’s Day Celebration, six pupils from the Lower Sixth (LVI) were invited to attend TSB’s Women of the Future Event, which was held at their offices in London.

The event opened with a warm welcome from Pinky Lilani, CBE DL, the Chairman and Founder of the Women of the Future Programme. Hearing her passion as she explained how we as women are capable of making the changes we want to see in the world and that we shouldn’t let anyone else’s prejudices stop us from achieving our goals, was inspiring.

After this, a few employees from various departments gave engaging and insightful presentations about the work they do at TSB, we were also given the opportunity to talk and network with them and their colleagues in smaller groups. I particularly enjoyed hearing about the number of staff who had entered their current role in banking via alternative routes and how TSB has been supporting its employees in this time of great change in the workplace.

On behalf of the girls, I would like to thank our Careers’ Department for this amazing opportunity, and we would recommend this event to all girls interested in a career in banking in the future.

Kaysha, LVI
