Bonfire Night 2018

This years’ Bonfire Night was held on Wednesday 7 November, 1900 tickets were booked by parents and staff and it was a huge success. Our Prefects did a fantastic job as marshals for the evening ensuring our guests were well looked after.

The UIV girls created guys in their Houses which ranged from a ladybird to an avocado, McDonald’s fries to the Cookie Monster. The competition was extremely close but 1st prize was given to an amazing tree created by Butler and 2nd and 3rd were given to Rubens and Airlie.

Each House organised their own charity stall in Big School raising money for Melanesian Mission. Butler raised the most money making a staggering £416.50 for charity and a prize was given to the best looking stall which was awarded to Campbell.

In The Courtyard our two Young Enterprise companies each had a stall and raised money to support their new business ideas, while Clarence held a Great Global Bake Off, selling cakes they had made from around the world.

After the stalls closed, girls and guests made their way outside to our Bonfire site for an incredible firework display coordinated by Star Fireworks; it was a fantastic way to finish the evening.
