Clarence Leavers 2026

As the Upper Sixth prepare to begin their final examinations, we came together to celebrate the close of their Wycombe Abbey journey at the Clarence Leavers’ Ceremony. In beautiful sunshine, the day was a truly special and much cherished occasion, shared by pupils, their families, and staff across the School community.

A reflective Chapel service looked back on memorable moments and included touching surprise messages from staff, before each pupil received her Wycombe Abbey pendant. The Head Girl Team reflected:

‘We are all about to embark on exciting new journeys, whether here in the UK, in the US or further abroad; being offered places by the top universities is no small feat, and I am so proud to be able to say that I have been at school with you all and cheered you on in your successes!’ – Genevieve, Deputy Head of School

‘As we begin this new chapter, I’d like to wish you all every success. I couldn’t have wished for a better group of girls to grow up with, and I know that this unshakeable bond of sisterhood will stay with us forever. No matter where we end up, Wycombe Abbey will always be a place that we can call home. In the words of Winnie the Pooh: ‘ How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.’ – Todi, Head of School

The celebrations continued outside the Chapel with drinks and photographs, before an evening of dinner and dancing provided a joyful final opportunity for everyone to celebrate together. As the Upper Sixth leaves Wycombe Abbey, they join a global network of former pupils as Seniors and will forever remain part of the Wycombe Abbey community.
