Wycombe Abbey Sports Day 2021

There was great excitement last Saturday as we held our annual Sports Day. The sun came out in time for what was a fantastic day of sporting achievement with plenty of House spirit on show.

Many girls took part in the day competing in a variety of track and field events including 300m, 1500m, hurdles, high jump, relays and javelin. The girls were in their respective bubbles throughout the day making lots of noise cheering each other along. They wore their House colours with pride, waved banners and sported face paint which only added to the fun.

The final result saw Campbell House take home the Sports Day trophy as overall winners with Pitt winning the junior events, Wendover the intermediate events and Campbell the senior winners.

The Victrix Ludurum Cup is awarded to the athlete that scored the most points across two events, this year the cup was awarded to:

• Junior: Jasmine (LIV)
• Intermediate: Arolape (LV)
• Senior: Francesca (LVI)

The Relay Cup winners were Pitt, and the Spring Cup for the most improved athlete this season went to Jasmine (LIV).

It was a great day to be able to come together as a community and do what Wycombe Abbey does best: celebrate the wins and the achievements, as well as taking part in a wonderful event that leaves lasting memories of School life.
