Chiltern Arts Festival

Some of you may know of Chiltern Arts, a charity that organises an annual festival bringing top-class musicians to perform in the towns and villages of the Chilterns. This year we are delighted that one of the festival events will be hosted here at Wycombe Abbey. This event will feature Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, the talented 19-year-old whose dazzling solo piano debut at this year’s BBC Proms was widely praised.

The concert, entitled Musical Transfiguration, will be held in the Archer Recital Hall on Sunday 15 May 2022 at 17:00. Jeneba has kindly agreed to spend the earlier part of the day with us and plans are in hand for some of our musicians to join her for a masterclass and/or a lunchtime discussion.

The concert will be open to the public, with all tickets available exclusively from Chiltern Arts. This is expected to be a very popular event, and we have agreed that a block of tickets will be earmarked for our parents when general booking begins on Friday 3 December 2021. As the charity has pointed out, for those who wish to be even surer of a place, there is time to sign up as a member of Chiltern Arts and enjoy earlier priority booking.

For more information about the event and membership, and for all enquiries about booking, please refer to the charity’s website quoting the special code ‘WAS22’.
