This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Chinese (Mandarin) to join a passionate and talented team of linguists in one of the UK’s leading schools, where results in Modern Languages are high, facilities are excellent and our students are enthusiastic about Mandarin.

Recent GCSE and A level results have been outstanding and girls frequently go on to study Mandarin at top universities.

We require a teacher for 4 periods per week to deliver lessons to Year 9. The lessons form part of a three-year GCSE course.

A strong first degree in Chinese Language and Literature would be an advantage, along with the initiative to promote Chinese learning beyond the classroom. A willingness to participate in other areas of school life would also be desirable.

If you are able to play a key role in an outstanding department we would be delighted to hear from you.

Wycombe Abbey has its own salary scale which is well above that of the maintained sector. Accommodation may be available.

Please complete an application form as soon as possible and submit this, together with a covering letter, to the Headmistress, Mrs J Duncan by emailing the Human Resources Manager, Mrs J Wetenhall wetenhallj@wycombeabbey.com.
