This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and inspirational teacher to take on a significant leadership and management role as Housemistress at this prestigious, forward- thinking and high-achieving school.

The Housemistress has responsibility for each girl’s personal and academic development and is an important point of contact for parents. She is responsible for ensuring a safe, happy and comfortable environment in which pupils can both learn and relax.

A Housemistress can usually expect to teach up to 12 lessons per week and any academic subject relevant to our curriculum will be considered.

We require an outstanding and inspirational teacher to lead and manage the strategic development plan for digital learning across the School.

This new senior leadership post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher and leader who possesses the professional and personal credibility to inspire and lead digital learning across the Wycombe Abbey community. We seek an outstanding practitioner who will ensure that developments in technology are embedded into teaching and learning, ensuring a coherent and school-wide approach to fulfilling our digital learning strategy. A passion for both technology and innovative pedagogy is essential. A high level of technical expertise is not expected but awareness of the technical implications of prospective developments is necessary. We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and able graduate to teach Science, particularly Physics, throughout the school. This post would suit an NQT or a more experienced applicant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced University Counsellor to advise and facilitate all aspects of post-secondary planning for pupils intending to apply to universities in America and internationally.

The successful candidate will have substantive experience of US university admissions or secondary school university counselling, broad-based knowledge and understand of current trends in university admissions and higher education, knowledge and understanding of international and/or independent school communities and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with excellent organisational skills.

Hours: This position is to work 3 days per week for 52 weeks per year. Hours will need to be flexible to support the needs of the role in a Boarding School environment and will include evening work.

American and International Universities Counsellor - Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic leader to shape the vision and strategy of the libraries at Wycombe Abbey, including redesigning our current services. Wycombe Abbey is a world leader in girls’ education and we are seeking someone who will value the opportunity to be involved in the modernisation and development of our learning resources.

The Librarian is expected to work during Wycombe Abbey term time plus some additional weeks during the school holidays.

The Librarian is responsible for line management of the Librarian’s Assistant and also oversees the school archives.

The successful candidate will ideally be a graduate with previous significant experience of library/resource centre management, preferably within an education setting.

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Alumni Relations Officer to join Wycombe Abbey’s Development and External Relations department.

Wycombe Abbey has been at the forefront of girls’ boarding education for the last 120 years. Superb academic outcomes are the School’s hallmark and pupils regularly secure places at the most prestigious universities across the globe. Known for its world-class education, Wycombe Abbey encourages curiosity, innovation, leadership and delight in learning among its pupils.

The Development and External Relations team is responsible for engaging a wide range of stakeholders in the current and future activities of the School. The Alumni Relations function supports former pupils of Wycombe Abbey (Seniors) and coordinates their activities to align with those of the School.

This is a new role, joining the team at an exciting time, as we look to deepen and broaden our alumni engagement activity. This role will have a growing emphasis on alumni communications and fundraising in the UK and overseas as Development plans progress. As such, it presents an exciting opportunity to add real value to the Development and External Relations department. The successful candidate will have a good level of relevant experience, be a positive and proactive team-player and have excellent organisational and communications skills. A Bachelor’s Degree, with experience working in a similar role is preferable.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You will be required to work out of hours occasionally to ensure the successful delivery of alumni and supporter events.

Alumni Relations Officer - Job Description

Application Form For Support Staff

We are seeking enthusiastic and able applicants to join the team in a boarding house working with girls aged 12-17.  This is an important support role within our pastoral teams, working under the direction of the Housemistress and Assistant Housemistress to create a welcoming, supportive, encouraging and cheerful environment for our girls.

This position is a Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract, for a minimum duration of 6 months.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working with young people, a positive “can-do” attitude, a practical approach, warmth, enthusiasm and strong communication and organisational skills.

Duties will include providing a welcoming presence within the house, routine tasks such as laundry and organisation of supplies and deliveries, house administration tasks, ensuring that the house is tidy and any other duties to assist the house team.

Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 16.00 – 22.30
Saturdays: 15.30 – 23.00

Boarding Assistant - Job Description

We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic and able applicants to provide cover in boarding houses working with around 60 girls aged 11-18.  This is an important support role within our pastoral teams, working under the direction of the Housemistress and Assistant Housemistress to create a welcoming, supportive, encouraging and cheerful environment for our girls.
