We currently recruiting for a maternity cover School Nurse (RGN, RN-Child or RM) to join our dedicated Health Centre Team in this prestigious boarding school for girls.

Hours: 24 hours per week (maternity cover)

Working an average of 25 hours per week on a flexible rota basis, working night shifts from 20:00 – 08:30 twice a week on a nine-month maternity cover contract. Term-time only.

The Health Centre plays a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the pupils and staff at Wycombe Abbey, and the nurses work particularly closely with boarding staff and parents.

This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate a variety of nursing skills, whilst developing knowledge in managing chronic medical conditions and specific needs of adolescent girls. There is a generous training budget to allow for the professional development of nursing staff.

The ideal candidates will enjoy working with teenagers and will have a positive and flexible approach. Previous experience in a school role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

School Nurse (Nights) Maternity Cover - Job Description

We are looking for an organised, efficient and enthusiastic Admissions Administrator to provide general administrative support and to assist in the smooth running of the Admissions Department.

Wycombe Abbey has been at the forefront of girls’ boarding education for more than 120 years. Superb academic outcomes are the School’s hallmark and pupils regularly secure places at the most prestigious universities across the globe. Known for its world-class education, Wycombe Abbey encourages curiosity, innovation, leadership and delight in learning among its pupils.

The Admissions team is responsible for the pupil recruitment and selection process for boarding and day girls at 11+, 13+ and 16+. The department manages a large volume of enquiries and visits to the School and the Admissions Administrator plays a vital role in all communications with prospective families.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator who is looking to be involved in a professional and busy school community. The role requires excellent organisation and communication skills, a good telephone manner, database experience, an ability to work accurately under pressure and to multi-task across all aspects of administration. Knowledge of iSAMS would be an advantage.

Hours: 09:00 – 17:30 (or 08:30 – 17:00) Monday to Friday, hours include a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Some evening and weekend work will be required to support Admissions events, for which time off in lieu may be taken.

Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (pro rata)

Admissions Administrator (Maternity Cover) - Job Description

Application Form - Support Staff

Wycombe Abbey is seeking to employ a Domestic Team Leader to supervise and co-ordinate the day-to day cleaning activities of the Domestic Assistants in the relevant teams. The Team Leader will work alongside the team and undertake cleaning duties as required.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 16:00 – 20:00 for 40 weeks per annum
Saturdays 07:00 – 15:00 for 27 weeks per annum

Applicants should possess good organisational skills, enthusiasm, a “can-do” attitude and enjoy working as part of a team. Previous experience in a supervisory role in a similar environment is an advantage. Applicants must be IT literate, with experience of Outlook and Word documents, and will possess the willingness to learn new systems.

Salary: £14,340 per annum.

Domestic Team Leader (Evenings and Saturdays) - Job Description

Wycombe Abbey is a world-renowned independent girls’ boarding school in the heart of High Wycombe.  We are looking to recruit a Domestic Assistant to work full-time Monday to Friday throughout the year.

Reporting to the Domestic Services Manager and Domestic Team Leader, the post holder will work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and order is maintained in their designated area.

Hours: 40 hours per week all year round as per below:

06:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: £17,179
