Wycombe Abbey is seeking to employ a dynamic and enthusiastic ‘all three weapons’ fencing coach to deliver all standards of fencing tuition to both individuals and groups of girls aged 11-18.

Wycombe Abbey enjoys exceptional sporting facilities including a state-of-the-art sports centre, 5 lacrosse pitches, a large floodlit Astroturf pitch, sixteen netball courts and twenty tennis courts.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team of teachers at a well-established boarding school with a competitive rate of pay.

The hours would be mainly 3pm – 9pm. Number of days and hours per week to be confirmed according to the school timetable.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with an interest in education to gain experience in this prestigious, forward-thinking and high-achieving school.

Wycombe Abbey employs 11 Resident Tutors each year: 1 in each of the 9 senior boarding houses (age 12– 17) and 2 in our Junior House (age 11-12). Each Resident Tutor is attached to one specific House and is an important member of the House pastoral team under the guidance of the Housemistress. Duties will include assisting with wake-ups and bedtimes, organising activities, attending House parties and supervising outings.

A Resident Tutor will be attached to at least 2 academic departments according to degree and A-Level subjects. There will be opportunities to observe lessons, and if desired, to team-teach. There may also be opportunities to help with university preparation lessons and to give individual university advice and to help with activities such as drama, sport or music, according to each applicant’s particular interests. This may be part of a timetabled lesson or during the evening extra-curricular activities.

Graduate Resident Tutor - Job Description Application Form - Support Staff

Wycombe Abbey are seeking to employ a team of hardworking and reliable staff to help with lettings and general works throughout the Summer holidays from the 4th July until the 16th August, with some additional hours until Friday 30th August.

Position 1:
Duties will include bed making, cleaning and room set ups.
Hours: Monday to Friday 7-2 and occasional Saturdays 9-1
Hourly rate: £8.33
Starting 4th July until the 16th August 2019.

Position 2:
To support with deep cleans of:
– Internal windows, sills and ledges
– High level cleaning, on top of cupboards, etc.
– Carpet cleaning
– Curtain cleaning
– Hard floor cleaning
Hours: Monday to Friday 7-3
Hourly rate: £8.33
Starting 4th July until 16th August, or 30th August.
