Socials are an integral part of life at Wycombe and it is a rare weekend that doesn't contain something, whether it be a formal occasion such as the Annual Ball with Eton or a more informal House visit to Pizza Hut with one of the Houses from a boys' school such as Harrow or Radley. Below are some of our latest socials:

Scottish Reeling at Radley - Spring Term 2011
Long or short? That was the biggest debate of the evening as 20 Wycombe Abbey girls set off for a night of Scottish reeling at Radley. We were under strict instructions to not take off our shoes, not reveal our shoulders until after dinner, and to remember our manners; all good advice which I hope we lived up to in the heat of the reel.
The candlelit dinner consisted of prawn cocktails followed by roast chicken and a chocolate tart to finish – all much needed to boost our energy as we danced between courses. The music was provided by a live band who introduced a modern element to the melodies, and added authenticity to the reeling. Overall, a great evening was had by everyone –a big thank you to Mrs Best, and Mr Shorto from Radley, for organising the wonderful event and of course to the Radleans for being such excellent hosts. Scottish reeling is a charming way to meet new people and have fun and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to go!
