Wycombe Abbey International Digital Art Exhibition
Over the past year, a collaborative Art Exhibition was created to exhibit pupils’ artwork from across our international schools in the UK, Hong Kong and Changzhou, China. Together, the overarching theme of ‘East meets West’ encompasses our schools’ locations and importantly awareness of cultures.
The Artwork that is presented by Wycombe Abbey UK is produced by pupils in UIII to UIV (Year 7 – Year 9), who focused on the theme through inspiration from Art History. They explored and experimented with a variety of media and skillful processes through drawing, painting, printmaking and creative textiles.
Wycombe Abbey Changzhou pupils (Years 7 – 9) were given the theme for their Christmas Holiday homework. The great variety of responses in terms of subject matter, style and choice of media are the result of pupils’ own personal inspiration and inclination.
At Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong, pupils have individually drawn upon the theme to explore new ideas, thoughts and concepts. They investigated various cultures to create a visual form of communication, using a broad spectrum of materials, to record their individual creative outcomes.
