A Return to Sport

The PE department has been delighted to see the girls return to sport and activity at School this term. Many of our sessions have been focused on re-establishing key movement patterns that are required in team sports as we reintroduce competitive play. The girls have embraced the adaptations that have been made to their sessions, noting both the short- and long-term benefits that will come from this.

PE department values continue to be a focus

During remote learning the girls spent time discussing the PE department values of enjoyment, respect, mental toughness, discipline, humility and integrity. These have continued to be a focus to aid the development of well-rounded athletes who can train and compete at the highest level they desire. The department is looking forward to coaching the girls and helping them to achieve their goals this season.

During the Summer Term, the PE department launched a competition to encourage pupils to contemplate our PE Values through art and literature. These are the winning entries:
