Finalist – Independent Schools of the Year Awards

We are delighted to announce that Wycombe Abbey has been selected as a Finalist for the Independent Schools of the Year 2020 awards. The Independent Schools of the Year highlights the quality of the student experience across the independent education sector in the UK and British schools overseas. Judged by an independent panel of experts, Wycombe Abbey has been selected as a finalist for the category Independent Girls’ School of the Year.

With competition from over 300 nominated schools, we are delighted to have been selected among the final few in this category and alongside other girls’ schools of high calibre. Wycombe Abbey fosters a culture of empowered learning, integrity and resilience, providing each girl with a world-class experience. Alongside our reputation for academic excellence, our diverse range of co-curricular activities allows our pupils to pursue their passions and flourish throughout their time here and beyond.

Headmistress, Mrs Jo Duncan, said “I am delighted that Wycombe Abbey has been named by the judges as a Finalist in the Best Girls’ School category. I am extremely proud of all our staff and pupils, for their hard work and adaptability during this extraordinary year. We are proud to be standing alongside other girls’ schools of high calibre in this category and my congratulations go to all the finalists.”

Following the UK Government’s announcement on Monday 4 January, the School site is now closed to visitors, and pupils are being taught remotely. Please do get in touch with us by phone or email via the link here.
