Wycombe Abbey Hosts Second International Universities Fair

Wycombe Abbey hosted its second International Universities Fair today. Representatives from 13 international universities, including institutions from the Netherlands, Canada and the US were on-hand to speak to pupils about the range of opportunities on offer outside the UK.

Wycombe Abbey girls were joined by pupils from Royal Grammar School, Wycombe High and Sir William Borlase School for a lecture and to meet with representatives after the talk.

Wycombe Abbey pupil Martina (LVI) said, “It is really helpful to get the bigger picture of the university system and to understand how it differs from the UK process. It is good to have the opportunity to explore different options.”

Mrs Mason, Overseas University Advisor, commented “Each year, more and more of our pupils are looking further afield for their university education. Last year, 11 girls took up places at universities across the world including Milan, US, Hong Kong and Dublin. For some pupils, today’s fair marks the first steps in exploring the many varied opportunities that are available after school.”
