Modern Languages Centre

In February 2008, the second phase of our state of the art Languages Centre was completed which was funded by many extremely generous gifts from parents and seniors.  We equipped the Multimedia Language Suite with the latest technology and provided very necessary air conditioning. 

A Donor Board on the wall by the Language Centre records the names of those who have given £1000 or more towards the project.

Every gift is appreciated and all Language Centre donors were invited to an evening reception on 18 February to celebrate the Centre's successful completion and the official opening of Language Laboratory B.

Sports Centre

The Sports Centre was opened in 2004 and this stunning building is enjoyed daily by the girls who derive enormous benefit from its fantastic facilities.  Generous donors made this building possible and ongoing gifts help us to equip and maintain the Centre to the highest specifications.

Chapel Chairs

The old Chapel chairs which did sterling service for nearly a century, had finally – and reluctantly - to be replaced by the beginning of 2007.  Keeping the tradition of named chairs, a wonderful £56,000 was raised from the sponsorship of nameplates and the names of pupils, past and present, can now be seen on the new chairs.  The carved tops of the old chairs will be displayed permanently elsewhere in School.

Clarence Garden

Thanks to one donor’s generosity, the Clarence garden has received a facelift.  From September 2007, UVI girls have been able to enjoy super, newly landscaped surroundings.
