Eight Wycombe teams enjoyed an exciting afternoon of Tennis against new opponents Cranleigh.

 

There were two pleasing wins from the U19s with Senior Squad Tennis Coach, Miss Turton, encouraging all players to focus on consistency from the baseline and attacking play at the net. Cranleigh's U19A 1st pair provided very strong competition and the Wycombe team did well to win overall by beating their 2nd and 3rd pairs. Concentration was needed throughout the afternoon to cope with the blustery conditions.

 

The U16 A Squad had a number of tight matches, but held their nerve to win 5 sets to 4. The U16 B Team had to rapidly adjust to the astroturf surface, and finished with an excellent 7-2 win. Both U15 squads improved throughout the afternoon and two 5-4 victories were the result of their perseverence. Despite no prior trials or practice time the U14s fought hard, narrowly losing the A match 4 – 5 and winning the B convincingly 7- 2.
