Wycombe Abbey's U14 Lacrosse team became Midlands Schools' Champions after dominating the tournament held at the Royal Grammar School in Worcester on Saturday 28 November 2009. They scored 28 goals and conceded just three throughout the whole day's play.
During the match against closest rivals Moreton Hall, coach Miss Keens was stunned at the moments of brilliance from her team. Player of the Tournament was a very difficult decision, as all girls played extremely well, however, Georgia was a worthy recipient for her excellent work in the midfield.
The U15 team also performed well during the day. The B squad - competing in the A team tournament - recorded some pleasing results. Miranda and Amelia were named as Players of the Tournament. The U15 A squad won several of their group stage matches convincingly, however, they saved their best performance of the day for the semi-final against a very athletic side from Bedford. In this tight match, Wycombe eventually missed out on the final, losing 2-3. Eleanor maintained her impressive form and was named Player of the Tournament.
