UV Trenches Trip

UV enjoyed a hot and utterly memorable trip to the battlefields and cemeteries of the First World War in the areas around Ypres and the Somme. Guided by two – very hard-core – former army officers, they learned a lot and were all really moved by the experience. The contrasts and comparisons between British and German cemeteries were particularly striking and our guides were able to tell us fascinating stories about individual soldiers and graves.
