Our bonfire night celebrations on Wednesday 2 November brought the whole school community together for an evening of House competitions and charity events. In the weeks leading up to bonfire night, the LIV girls created a ‘Guy' in their house colours to be placed on the bonfire. Airlie's cleverly designed 1p piece, named ‘A Penny for the Guy' won the overall prize, with Wendover and Butler House also highly commended.
Each House held a charity stall with groups selling everything from cacti to henna tattoos in order to raise money for our partner charities, The South Bucks Hospice and the Melanesian Mission. Mulled wine and autumnal food was on offer, along with the sale of Wycombe ‘Abbee' honey for the first time, produced here in the school grounds.
Girls, staff, family and friends came together to watch an exceptional firework display played to a musical accompaniment in the grounds of the School.
