    Food

Food is an important part of Boarding School life and one that is taken seriously here at Wycombe. Gone are the days of such delicacies as the spam fritter and in their place is a varied range of interesting and enjoyable dishes with a wide choice each day including salad and vegetarian options. The catering team frequently provide special menus for particular days eg St George's Day, St David's Day and Chinese New Year to name but three and are always open to suggestions from the girls which come via the food committee which meets regularly with the Head Chef and Domestic Bursar.

    Cookery Classes

Food at Wycombe is not just limited to the wonderful output of the kitchens. Girls also take cookery courses  and learn a variety of culinary skills essential for the outside world and ensuring that they do not need to subsist on beans and takeaway pizza at university.

Clarence girls are organised into mini houses within Clarence. They are given a supply of staples (fruit, milk, bread, pasta etc) from the main kitchen and a weekly allowance. They then make their own breakfasts and suppers (although lunch is still provided in the main dining room).
