Sport at Wycombe

Sport plays a major part in Wycombe life. This is reflected in a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities. This part of the website deals mainly with extra-curricular sport but clearly these two areas feed into each other. Click here to read more about the sport curriculum.

Sporting Facilities

Sport plays a large part in the life of a Wycombe Abbey pupil and we are enormously proud of our outstanding facilities. 

There are five lacrosse pitches, which during the summer term are converted to a 400m athletics track, full sized football pitch and 3 rounders pitches.  A floodlit astroturf pitch enables all the sport to continue whatever the weather and lacrosse, hockey, netball and football use this facility on a regular basis.  There are 20 tennis courts and during the winter there are 6 netball courts on this hard area.

We also have a purpose-built Sports Centre which was opened in 2004.
