Creative Writing: Writer's Ink

Writer's Ink puts on a wide range of activities to give every student the opportunity to stretch her imagination and hone her writing skills. The programme is designed by three students from the Upper Sixth and aims to support as many different genres as possible. This might involve the advice and encouragement of a published writer, the pleasure of seeing her work in print or entering one of the school's six competitions.

Visiting writers have included Kevin-Crossley Holland, who encouraged the students to explore poetry through rediscovering Anglo-Saxon forms, and Dominic Treadwell-Collins, Series Story Producer on Eastenders, with whom the students devised eye-popping plots.
